WP4 Meeting on Visualisation

The Diadem partners Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), THALES and Space Application Services met at a workshop on visualisations for the Diadem decision support system in October 2009 in Delft. As in Diadem a new approach, combining multi-criteria decision analysis (MCDA) and scenario-based reasoning (SBR), has been developed, the need for novel visualisation techniques arises.

As it is important to facilitate the discussion of the impact of a decision alternative under multiple plausible future developments, appropriate visualisation techniques that are easily understandable and convey the main results quickly need to be developed. During the workshop, progress in this respect was made, resulting in a first prototype of possible visualisations, which will be tested and evaluated during the demo workshop in Copenhagen that will take place in February 2010.
